Today we had to switch classes just for the morning since it's apart of our theme for this term which is called "A world of differences". This task is about Greek and their history.The class we had to go to was Room 4 while others travel around classes.

The Hydrosphere

Task description-today for our home class google meet we had learn't about the "Hydrosphere" and how much water is around the world.During our meet our teacher gave us a kahoot to test our knowledge about water but I placed 4th.Some countries like Africa don't have water like Africa live near water but no places in that country have no source of the ocean near them.

Blood Cells

Today Room 4 had been trying to see blood cells which we could decide if they were real or fake.After watching a video explaining the different blood types along with if they could be put together.Like the A blood type can’t be mixed with the B type or the A type would  try to fight the B type.After that we had to solve a crime scene about someone who saw a burglar stealing his things inside his apartment.Everyone had to solve who was the burglar by using a cloth with blood on it.First we used a Slide to put the cloth on it then we put a tiny bit of water on it and put it under the microscope and looked at the cells at first only me & Tia could see small blue dots along with a light blue background but we couldn’t have our second try looking at it or third since we didn’t have enough time.

Fair Trade

For Maths we played a game called Trade.To play you need Lumber (Wood),Coffee,Electronics and Oil.We first had to decide whose in our group but at the same time we needed a team name.We also had to read a story about a 13 year old boy called "Hadush" he lived in the northern part of "Ethiopia".

Maths Week

On Monday it was the first day of maths week which is all about maths as well.In Room 4 Maths we each had been in a random group in either 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 and I was in group 6 with Trendy,Nevayah and Daliz. Each day we had different tasks to complete in our groups and we could win dollars/points for Team Work,Helping each other and everyone having a turn as well. The first activity we did is a Morse Code that we needed to finish and then so on but today we had to cut out paper but for my guess it must've been an Origami bird or even a star.But since today was the last day of Maths week if the team who has the most dollars would win a prize as a team but team 6 and team 1 were tied with $660. But I wonder who would win? would it be team 1 or 6? Lastly what would be the prize?

First day of Maths Week and the activity was Morse Code

Today it was the start of Maths Week which is about Maths. We Had to be put into different groups from 1 to 7 and I was in Group 6 with Trendy,Daliz and Nevayah. So since it was Maths week we had 1 task to do which was called "Morse Code" this task was easy and kinda hard as well but we manged to complete this at the last minute.We even  got points/dollars for team work and helping each other instead of just looking out the window which would make your team lose points/dollars. I wonder what else would we have?

The Tree of Life

Do you ever wonder what/who is the Tree of life?. Well the tree of life is the history of all the animals.For example if Orycteropus had a child then the child would start to evolve from its age and if they have a grand child then if that keeps happening then the father would start dying in there age but the same thing would start happening to the mother as well. I hope you enjoy.

It's Alive!?

Today for our inquiry we had to see the differences between what's alive and what's not really alive. it something is alive they should be either moving or breathing. But if its not alive they wouldn't grow/move at all.

Decimal Fractions

Tasting Kimchi (Korean Food) & Pad thai (Asian food)

Today room 4 had tried something that was called Kimchi. Kimchi is a korean food that is really popular in Korea.The next food we tried was Pad Tai. Pad tai is made/from Thailand and it has the maximum of spice so hopefully it isn't that spicy.Kimchi tasted like garlic and spice together but it isn't that bad so I would rate it 7/10.Now it is time for the Pad Tai its nice as well but the result is 9/10 its really nice and simple as well.

 

Facts About South America

 Today for inquiry we had learnt facts about South america but even though they aren't like europe they still use argentina and other foods in south america.

Empanadas

 So Today in Room 4 we had tried a traditional dish from Argentina that is EmPanada's which does looks like an Asian dish called Dumplings  but morely different.The Empanadas smell like Pasta beef even if it was filled with chilli and other things it still was nice and it looks like dumplings as well. And it was delicous.

Today Room 4 homeroom had been learning about the different things about Europe and North America but also the same things that they have as well.But for the Statue of Liberty Europe had the Statue before North America but they do trade things to Europe as well.

The weird mixed foods we had.

Today my homeroom teacher Mrs Stone decided to get/eat a European food which includes Olive oil,Olive,Fetta Cheese and bread. But each student had to watch a video to know more about Olives. When your growing olives on a tree if it is green then it is starting to get more ripe but if it is a darkish color then its already ripe. but for me the Olives tasted nice,for the cheese it was very weird but the bread was nice. The next one was bread and Chocolate which is famous.And it tastes nice as well.

Things we learnt about Fractions

Today Me,Tatia,Trinity and Pilini had learnt a lot more of fractions by using a knife and cutting through a Cake in sixth,thirds,halves and Forth's. Each Time Mrs Stone would ask someone a question about fractions.
