Kei te pehea te ahua o te rangi?

 

 Today we had to do a Maori task mainly since it's Maori Language Week.We had to make a video with a partner to describe what the weather would be. "Kei Te Pehea Te Ahua O Te Rangi ? " means "What is the weather today ? " . For the create task we either could (1) create a poster (2) Comic strip (3) Record a video so we chose to record a video so that we could try to pronounce the words ourselves. 

Number 28 2019 Writing (Lake alice is truly haunted and the grey nurse is a ghost)

In a Place far away from East New Zealand there was a rumor going around to watch out for a person called “Number 28”. Number 28 has been spotted lurking around a town called Lake Alice in the mid 20s.Number 28 was supposed to be a friendly person but he got arrested by the police and was sent to go to a women's asylum for being claimed as crazy.He was supposed to move into a different asylum but this one was for the best.As this was happening he got CURSED and is now called Number 28.He was skinny.People spread this rumor around for a reason or even people have claimed he was friendly but he wasn’t at all.On Friday’s you can see Number 28 going somewhere but only when you’re by yourself and when it’s Midnight.There was this girl called Pilinilose who wanted to see if this was real.So one friday night when the clock ticked midnight she left and was walking.When she was walking to the town where he was spotted.She had noticed that Number 28 was going somewhere but where?He was going to her own house.Number 28 was slowly walking creepily while Pillinilose was truly terrified and wanted to go back but she knew it wasn’t safe going back either.But suddenly Pilinilose noticed something on the floor it looked like it was a photo of him when he was younger.Number 28 was going towards her house because he knew she wasn’t there so it’s fine to go.Alice was truly nearly in danger but she knew it was fine.During the nighttime she was so scared and looking for somewhere to stay but soon she realised her own parents are at her house so  then she let a tear flowed down her cheek.Then suddenly she heard Voices that were saying “Let us go please” or “Help us please let us live we’ll give you anything” but it all was stopped.Soon after she was starting to feel a bit brave so she walked to her house to check on them but what she found was really disturbing and disgusting.Her Parents were in a pool of blood.But she heard a voice that was upstairs saying “One two” creepily so she had hid under a bed that was her own.She had started praying for that person to not come to where she was but she knew it was NUMBER 28.She cried silently but her sister Hillary had seen her and said “Look we need to leave soon” Pilinilose was nodding but the counting came closer and closer.So suddenly she knew a way to get out of there so she said this “Hillary follow after me” and she did.They managed to get out of there.but was soon greeted with Number 28 saying “Come with me and you’ll live” Pilinilose and Hillary followed him and they went inside an abandoned Asylum where he was sent.when that happened he told his friend the Grey Nurse to take one of them & she took Hillary then left to go inside a room where Hillary was shouting and crying for help then after 3 minutes it all stopped.Pilinilose was begging Number 28 to let her go he was going to let her go but he hit her instead.She passed out then Number 28 dragged her to the same room where the grey nurse was and ended her life for not doing what he said which was to NEVER BEG HIM or else you will suffer but the police came and took her but Number 28 was gone same as the grey nurse.

Pets and People? (1st draft without the conclusion yet)

How are pets just like people? Well, for example,they are really kind and respectful.They do have some differences and some of the same things as well.Pets should really be treated nearly just like people.This would mean that when pets are lonely just try to cheer them up like they are a person or even look after them.Whenever you’re in danger/trouble an animal that’s near you can help you then you would feel safe.But if an animal was in danger you can save them and also look after them.Pets are really cheerful just like people.They like playing with each other like how kids,children and people play with each other.

Pets are just like people because they have sensitivity and a good way of helping others.They each have things to do with each other. Pets and People can relate with each other & they really like to have fun with each other.Sometimes when you are upset they (Pets) will help you and cheer you up like a normal person would do.

Being Friendly: Pets are really friendly towards everyone just like how people are but towards pets.Pets are just like people because they have sensitivity and a good way of helping others.They are cheerful as well.

Being Responsible: Pet’s are responsible for what they do like how people are responsible for losing that is important towards them.No matter what they still would be responsible for anything that they have or even what they do or even how they would act.

Taking Care Of Each Other: Pets can do the same thing but looking after their owner & themselves same with humans like how they are supposed to take care of each other no matter what.In Case of something would happen/happens like for example,if we/you lose something that’s really special towards you pets can use their sense(sensitivity) to help you to find where you’re special gift is.

How They Act Like: Pets & People need to know what they look like & how they act towards others.Like how pets see other people they can either 1. Be friendly or 2.Be normal the same with people.People are really thankful that they have a pet to either a).save them (incase if they’re in danger or even save yourself but morley pets.) b).To play with (when you’re bored and have nothing to do) & lastly c).Caring for each other (for when you/they’re sick or they have a problem with them.)

De-extinction

Today we had to do another task but this one is done with things from prehistoric and brought back to life which is called "De-extinction".

Should Tasmanian Tigers be brought back or not?

Today for literacy we had a create task to start and finish.This create task was about "The Return of the Moa".This story was about how their used to be Moa's and how they became extinct also why they should be de-extinct. 

                  

The Understanding Meanings about these Words.

Today In literacy,we had to do a create task about the book we read which was "Giant Mystery" which was written by "Quinn Berentson".It has been a while since I had read the story but we had needed to know what all these words mean by using the story or finding the definition of all these words.

Today in Room 1 we had another new task to complete which is about writing a "Thesis Statement".A Thesis Statement is about what your topic is about,explaining your answer and adding a because.I hope you would enjoy.

Learn,Create & Share Commercial

Today Since we had to have a commercial about what we did me and my group (Mata & Trinity) Had done a commercial that is actually Morley like a movie but it is about Learn,Create & Share.Plus even though I was in the thumbnail,I Hope you enjoy it plus thanks for watching!

My Genome Sequence Writing

Today Room 1 literacy had started a reading task that everyone had to do but in pairs.So my partner is “Mata”. As a class we all had to watch a video about “My Genome Sequence” which did explain a lot of things that are in our body and why they are important to us.After that we had to read a transcript about what we’d watched as a class but we had to either underline/use highlight to use just for lining/highlighting the important things.After that we had to copy and paste the link to our turn in sheet so Mrs Moala could see what have we done.Next after that happened we had to write paragraphs about what we have watched and what have we done as well.Also the video did say a few things about our genes and DNA. 99% of our code is the same as everyone & the other 1% is at least that you have some differences to the others.There are 4 chemical letters A,G,T, and lastly C also it takes 57 Years for this to happen.DNA Is a bit like a computer code used for the robots. The Doctors can diagnose the cause of you’re condition & they can decide on the best treatment for you.

First day of Maths Week and the activity was Morse Code

Today it was the start of Maths Week which is about Maths. We Had to be put into different groups from 1 to 7 and I was in Group 6 with Trendy,Daliz and Nevayah. So since it was Maths week we had 1 task to do which was called "Morse Code" this task was easy and kinda hard as well but we manged to complete this at the last minute.We even  got points/dollars for team work and helping each other instead of just looking out the window which would make your team lose points/dollars. I wonder what else would we have?

5 Fun Experiments

Today for Reading the Kina group had to do a task which is just explaining the video after watching a  video as a class. Which shows about how to do the experiments and what you need as well. Also the main person in this video is a puppet who is also a scientist as well including his friends as well I hope you enjoy.

Should we start later and end earlier or have the normal times?

If school days were shorter? how would you feel about it?. If you cant see it it's fine but here is what it says "If we should have shorter days at school? For me I would disagree just because we wouldn't really learn a lot of things at all.  My reasons "Not enough of learning,Not enough time for recess and if They have the Shorter days.They wont have a lot of time to finish there things If they get 10 or more slides they might only finish 2 or 3 or even 1 slide. The Tree of Life

Do you ever wonder what/who is the Tree of life?. Well the tree of life is the history of all the animals.For example if Orycteropus had a child then the child would start to evolve from its age and if they have a grand child then if that keeps happening then the father would start dying in there age but the same thing would start happening to the mother as well. On Thursday Kina had to do a task with a partner.Each partner had to solve this task while reading to figure out if this was a fact or an opinion.So since I had to have a partner I decided to work with Pilinilose (year 8). Hope you enjoy.

What Does A Scientist Mean???

So Today for my writing since we know what Persuasive means most people might also know what a Scientist does/mean in both different ways.

It's Alive!?

Today for our inquiry we had to see the differences between what's alive and what's not really alive. it something is alive they should be either moving or breathing. But if its not alive they wouldn't grow/move at all.
