Today we had to do a google drawing describing our health's like mental emotional,physical,social family and spiritual.

The Young Detective

Today we had to do a narrative writing called "Young detective".The story was started by Mrs Moala who wrote in the blue ink.The story was about how Adam lost a precious key and now he needs to find it before they come.My story is not finished yet so I hope you can enjoy a part of it.

It had been three days since it had gone missing. One minute he had held it in his hand, the next it had vanished. How could it just have disappeared? It had been right in front of his eyes!


He had been warned about what would happen if he lost it. His mission had been to guard the key with his life, ever since they visited him last summer.

Adam had always had a detective’s instinct. They had told him as much. He had been chosen because he had certain skills, and he would need them more than ever now.

Only one clue had seemingly been left, which was sat on the living room table.

Holding the magnifying glass up to his eye, Adam began to investigate..

When he looked at the table he found a green-ish key but he didn’t know what to do with it.Adam had the key just in-case he needed it for anything.So he randomly found a door with the exact same color as the key.

When he unlocked the door his father was sitting down on a couch.The place he stumbled into was a library. He looked around but didn’t find anything.

When Adam was about to leave he found an object which stood out to him the most.His father was leaving the mysterious library and Adam got closer to the object but it was just a book.

Indeed he was a bit disappointed but he tried to stay calm.Adam grabbed the  book.Quickly ran away he thought it would be a good idea to look for the precious key then read the book.

Number Problems

Today Turing had to do number problems.Each slide had different numbers and we had to create the numbers ourselves.

Identity - Vocabulary

LI: Use new vocabulary in a sentence

Today my group went on a site that some teachers created for everyone.The site had a few tasks for us to complete but this is my first task that I finished and this one is about vocabulary.The book I read was called "Mata i pusi" or "Cat eyes".The book was created or made by "Sisilia Eteuati"

Fair Trade

For Maths we played a game called Trade.To play you need Lumber (Wood),Coffee,Electronics and Oil.We first had to decide whose in our group but at the same time we needed a team name.We also had to read a story about a 13 year old boy called "Hadush" he lived in the northern part of "Ethiopia".

Rainbows End

On Wednesday morning the Year 7’s

had to go on a trip to “Rainbows End”.

All the year 7’s had groups to be in and my group was

Silafaga (or just Faga),Rosiephine,Lilyana,Mata,Hunter,

Freedom,Efe-Lata and Marie B.

When we got there the first thing we did was getting to know where we are going.

Our helper (Julia) said that the oldest

should decide what ride they should go on and

since the oldest was Rosie

she decided to go on the “Fear Fall”.

The Fear fall is a bit scary to do since when

you first get on the seat it moved slowly and when

you reach the top it goes slowly down again

but then it changes to going fast until

it reaches the bottom.

Next we went on the “stratosfear” which has 2 versions you can go on first is the Extreme and the less extreme one.

The next 1 we went to was the “Log ride”.

The Log Ride was fun especially

when it's near the end it goes down a bit and probably would scare you a bit.

The ride that I probably didn’t like the most was the

“Rollercoaster".It was so high that

you could probably faint but also

I was sitting next to Faga and we were

screaming and we both

got scared at the curves .

The Understanding Meanings about these Words.

Today In literacy,we had to do a create task about the book we read which was "Giant Mystery" which was written by "Quinn Berentson".It has been a while since I had read the story but we had needed to know what all these words mean by using the story or finding the definition of all these words.

Thesis /Explanation Writing

Today in Room 1 we had another new task to complete which is about writing a "Thesis Statement".A Thesis Statement is about what your topic is about,explaining your answer and adding a because.I hope you would enjoy.

North america had been in a few fights with the other continents
like Russia and France

It would be  controlling the length

Textiles at tech

On a normal thursday at tamaki college we had to be in our tech groups because we were changing rotations for our group so we had changed into Textiles which are a combination of cooking and sewing so at textiles we are learning how to/use a sewing machine so later on we are going to sew a pillow as well so I hope I like Textiles other than Cooking!

Today at school we had to finish of our book called Wining's Wairau. This story is old but it might be either nonfiction or fiction and were it was based.

Another day at tech

Yesterday at tech we had made mac n cheese.Since we had to use bacon for my group we had to use vegetarian bacon instead.So we had to wait and listen to Mrs Heka's  rules like what we need to do.After you've done what she had said she will come around to turn on the oven for each group. if you don't listen or wear covered shoes then she won't help you .

Big Shift Plot Line

Today my group had read a book called Big shift. Big shift was wrote by Jacqui Brown.Big shift is a story which included characters. We explained what had happened in the story so each of us wrote sentences.

Practical Percentages

Today at maths we had learnt about percentage and what it means. For example 1%12=0.12  which is easy. but it gets harder after that.
