Art Alive Expo

Today the whole of Point England School had a Art Expo. Each class or team had different types of art from different Artists some of them included Pop-Art for which Andy Warhol (Full Name - Andrew Warhola) used for his arts. The Art-Expo included many different variations of art and some classes had paintings about Covid-19. The younger classes (Team 3 and under) had colourful paintings and decorations about art. Some of them included Tie-Dye shirts with different colours. Team 4 had their own versions of many different patterns and wrote a little bit about it.

Room 9 and 10 had patterns and they had the Official School Logo coloured fully. And lastly Team 5 were based on different artists  like Van Gogh or Andy Warhol.

This was very enjoyable to people and this was very fun to do! Sadly this is our last event at this School.

Immersion Assembly

Immersion Assembly - On Monday the 12th of October, we had just started school for Term 4. The theme for this term is "Art Alive" which is about the story behind art. Team 1,2 and 3 ( basically making a rainbow) were learning about the colours of art and slightly learning about different types of art. Team 4 were also learning about the different types of art. Team 5 had started of with a small play which was about drawing their gallery and choosing pictures they prefer (or their favourite) .

Elements Of Art - On Monday we also learnt about the different Elements about Art. The different elements included Line, Shape, Colour, Texture and a few more. We also had our first art rotations which was in our home class. For the first week of term 4, we had normal literacy and maths. But for inquiry we had to do Pop-Art (which was what Andy Warhol used to do) .

Art Rotation #1 -  In home class we learnt about  someone called "Andrew Warhola" (Andy Warhol) who was born in Oakland, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania  (6th August, 1928) but he sadly died back in 1987 (22nd February) . His Parents were Slovakian immigrants and around the age of nine his parents decided to give him a camera. He took photographs of things. Andrej Warhola was a construction worker while his mother (Julia Warhola) was a embroiderer. Sadly Andy had a Nervous System which made him bedridden for a few months.
