Fossils of 4-legged Whales found in Peru.

4-Legged-Whales

A fossil of a 43-million-year-old whale with 4 legs, webbed feet and hooves were found in Peru. Palaeontologists believe the marine mammals 4-metre-long body was adapted to swim and to walk on land. The semi-aquatic whale was compared to a otter, beaver of something that was longer and larger. It was found marine sediments 1km inland from Peru's Pacific Coast, at Playa Media Luna.

Palaeontologists, are about the Study of Life that existed prior and sometimes including the start of the Holocene Epoch. It also includes the Study of Fossils to classify organisms and study interactions with each-other and their environments.

Sediments is a naturally occurring material  that is broken down by processes of weathering and erosion, and is subsequently transported of wind, water and ice.

In earth science, erosion is the action of surface processes (water flow or wind) that removes soil, rock, or dissolved material from one location on the Earth's Crust. Then transports it into another location.

Holocene Epoch is the current period of geologic time. Another term is the Anthropocene Epoch.
